As the clock struck 12, the new owners turned on 50 new gaming machines, bringing the total number of machines up to 750.
'We used research and focus groups to find out what games people enjoy playing the most and those are the ones we put in,” said Scott Wells, Remington Park’s president and general manager.

The additions bring Remington Park up to its new licensed capacity for electronic games, but that doesn’t mean the changes will slow down, officials say.
'We plan to spend $10- to $12-million dollars over a period of time to bring Remington Park back to its former glory,” said John Elliott, chief executive officer of Chickasaw subsidiary Global Gaming RP, LLC, the track’s new owner.
'In the 21-year history of Remington Park, this is the first time it has been owned by Oklahomans,” Wells said. 'We’re very pleased by that. For the first time we feel a real commitment to reinvesting in Oklahoma.”
Replacing older, less popular machines will be a high priority.
https://ninrhino.netlify.app/casino-games-slot-machines-tips.html. The owners hope to replace at least 50 to 100 of the older machines before the start of Remington Park’s Quarter Horse, Paint and Appaloosa race meet in March, Elliott said.
Two large group viewing suites, the Eclipse Room and Remington Suite, also are scheduled to be remodeled before the Quarter Horse meet, Wells said.

The Silks dining room will get new carpet, as will other key areas, he said.
Several new flat screen televisions will be installed within the next three months and other old televisions will be replaced in future months, Elliott said.
The air conditioning and heating system will be renovated and work on the exterior of the building will be done as weather permits, he said.
'Beginning in March, we’ll be hosting the richest Quarter Horse racing season in the history of the breed,” Wells said, adding that Oklahoma has become the 'Kentucky of Quarter Horses.”
The new owners also have major plans to improve the quality of Thoroughbred racing at the track, he said.
The Oklahoma Horse Racing Hall of Fame will be upgraded and there are plans to honor some of the legends of horse racing in the state, Wells said.
Within the next few years, the owners plan to look at things like adding a sports bar, providing meeting and convention space and perhaps building a hotel, Elliott said.
